CUDECO

CuDeco Limited is an ASX listed mining company which operates the Rocklands copper mine at Cloncurry in North West Queensland. Key achievements during Mark's tenure as CEO and Corporate Advisor include:

  • Established an environment of integrity, transparency and collaboration between the Board, management team, employees and external stakeholders;

  • Bridged the gap between major offshore stakeholders and Australian retailshareholders as to perceptions of the objectives and strategic direction of the company;

  • Facilitated a number of funding options for the long-term financing of the company’s operations and growth initiatives; including major Australian financial institutions; and

  • Established a stable operational and financial platform from which to achieve the company’s long term objectives.

WALZ GROUP

The Walz Group is a privately owned infrastructure construction group servicing the Australian resources, energy, agriculture and water infrastructure sectors. Key achievements during Mark's tenure as CEO include:

  • Commercialisation of the organisation from a ‘family owned construction company’, to a multi-faceted provider of integrated construction and maintenance services to blue chip, multi-national resources companies;

  • Established industry best practices (designed to meet and exceed the minimum and service delivery;requirements of international mining companies) in the areas of safety, quality assurance risk growth during a period of high industry sector volatility;

  • Established a modern corporate and management structure which has enabled stable, low-risk growth during a period of high industry sector volatility; and

  • Preparation of the organisation for a structured and orderly exit strategy (by sale, IPO or establishment of a sustainable business for the benefit of future generations) for the shareholders and in a manner which achieves the predetermined objectives of the shareholders.

  • LEP Colour Printers (ANZ Private Equity Investee Company);

  • Swift Group (mining services) – As Director / CEO;

  • Screen Queensland (QLD State Government film industry body);

  • Real Time Instruments (specialist equipment to mining services); and

  • G&G Mining Fabrication (mining services to the WA resources sector).
